Hearts of palm come from the core and bud of certain palm trees. Most are imported from Costa Rica. They’re nice in stir-fry, gluten-free pizza, sauces and dips.
Makes about 1½ cups
Ingredients
- 1 can heart of palm
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 Tbsp Italian parsley
- Sea salt to taste
Option(okay for gut repair)
- 1 avocado for a creamier dip
Option(not for gut repair)
- Pepper to taste
- Dash of pepper or paprika, or spice it up with a dash of cayenne
Preparation
Put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Serve with carrots, celery, and sliced cucumber.
