The Art of Connection: Secrets of Leading & Following in Tango

January 29th – February 2nd

This exclusive four-day tango seminar & retreat is designed to deepen the understanding of both roles. Through giros, boleos, sacadas, barridas, ganchos, etc, we will approach all important questions and rules.
The technique, musicality, and embrace will be treated as essential elements to achieve our goal.

Objective:

The primary goal of this seminar is to equip participants with the skills, awareness, and confidence necessary to lead with clarity and follow with precision. By refining connection, movement technique, and musical interpretation, dancers will develop a more profound control of their role in the tango partnership, whether leading or following.

Methodology:

This seminar integrates theory and practice through the personalized guidance of Giselle Anne’s system with her 40 years of teaching. Through a structured yet adaptable approach, participants will receive individualized feedback to refine their technique, enhance their understanding of movement dynamics, and build confidence in both leading and following.

Requirements

This seminar is designed for couples or singles that like to lead and follow. A dance partner is not required to register, as pairs will be formed and changes of partners will be necessary as part of the learning process.

To ensure high-quality instruction and personalized attention, the group is limited to 30 participants.

The Art of Connection: Secrets of Leading & Following in Tango

4-Day Immersive Seminar

In this in-depth seminar, we will explore the essence of leading and following through four key concepts of tango technique: turns, boleos, sacadas, and ganchos. Each day will focus on one of these elements — not as isolated figures, but as expressions of communication, musicality, and shared intention within the embrace.
